Sublime antique French silver wire lace and organza wedding dress lace border. 19th century.

This is exquisite antique French silver metal wire lace,silk organza and tulle border was originally part of a wedding dress.

A beautiful 19th century hand worked confection that has been stored away in a marriage armoire for many years.

Attached to what remains of the old cream silk organza the lace is all wonderful.

Large alternate flowers worked in solid silver wire threads and then flowers of fine silver wire embellishment.

Hopefully the close up photographs will will portray how amazing this is.

There are 9 solid silver wire flowers and 12 with the finer silk wire overlay.

The organza that's remains is fragile in places but the lace is strong.

The lace alone without the organza is 14.5cms deep and width 4 metres 40cms
